About the Client
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international economic organisation of 34 countries founded in 1961 to stimulate economic progress and world trade. It is a forum of countries describing themselves as committed to democracy and the market economy, providing a platform to compare policy experiences, seeking answers to common problems, identify good practices and coordinate domestic and international policies of its members.
The OECD are looking to proactively reduce their printing and move to eBooks, the wanted a new design for their Meeting Agendas that would allow attendees to view the documentation on their mobile phones, tablets and laptops to ultimately replace the printed copies. For attendees that needed a printed copy one would still be provided.
For mobiles and tablets we designed a responsive EPUB 3 document that scaled according to the device it was running on. It was designed to work with Apple iBooks and Google Play Books. Additionally we created a PDF version that could be used on desktop computers and for physical printing.
